Robocop (2014)

Downloading the entire police database and all CCTV footage since 2011 into cybernetically-enhanced cop Alex Murphy's mind moments prior to his public unveiling seems short-sighted of Omnicorp scientists, but otherwise this updated Robocop is great, retaining the conscience, heart and soul, and the moments of wry humour of Paul Verhoeven's beloved 1987 original while augmenting the special effects with turbo-charged cybernetic enhancements that justify the remake - it just belabours its techy set-up and launches too quickly into its final act, is all.
