The Witness (목격자) (Mok-gyeok-ja) (2018)
This South Korean thriller drops some social commentary into the mix but its plot about an "apartment complex serial killer" is so unlikely, the police work to catch the killer so incompetent, the main protagonist so unsympathetic (a product of some elusive South Korean sociopolitical constructs or not), and the modus operandi of the killer, who variously employs hammers, cars, motorbikes, animal kidnap and psychological torment to achieve whatever it is he is trying to do, so random that it would take not just a drop but a veritable landslide of social commentary to try to wash away from sight the movie's utter idiocy.
