One of the things that makes the 8 seasons of this now cancelled tv series such compulsive viewing is trying to determine, episode to episode, what the basic tenets of millionaire matchmaker Patti Stanger's matchmaking philosophy actually are because on the surface, the techniques Stanger uses to find her well-heeled clients their ideal lovematches - and not just money-hungry golddiggers - look like an inexpert mix of tough love, outright rudeness, new age quackery and dopey platitudes.
